About the Activity
Many of you that have visited us recently have seen that God has blessed us with a growing ministry. Our children's home now cares for over 170 kids, our school provides quality education for more than 400 students, and our staff has grown to over 60, many of which now live on our campus. As our high school will soon receive accreditation, more dorms are under construction to allow us to serve additional children. We praise God for the continued growth and blessings that we have seen over the last few years!
With this rapid growth we have seen some problems with our infrastructure keeping up with demand. As an example, our water system was unable to sufficiently provide enough clean drinking water. This month, through the support of our friends, we were able to finish the installation of a 500 liter per hour water filtration plant to keep all those thirsty children drinking clean water. We praise God for his provision, and thank those who gave so generously.
As the summer heat comes quickly, and our ministry has grown, we now face an issue with our electrical system. Our current transformer and distribution system is unable to keep up with the load of our campus, and needs to be upgraded soon. Our failing electrical system has recently even caused damage to appliances and equipment as the overloading causes bad surges. The cost of this renovation project is somewhat of a surprise as we have been working with the local power company on the project and have discovered they will require significant deposits to upgrade our service. In addition, we need to install a new distribution system between our buildings that is safer and more reliable. We have raised a little over $2,000 within our staff for the project, but we still need to raise another $13,000 to complete the project.
God has always been faithful to provide our needs, and many times that has been through our generous supporters like you. Would you consider stepping out in faith and donating to this critical infrastructure project?
